The Age Inclusion Specialist, Sudan or any neighboring country at HelpAge International will promote the participation of older people and those with disabilities, engage humanitarian actors, and ensure their needs are addressed. The job holder will develop age-inclusive activities, coordinate with local organizations, and integrate inclusion in response planning, monitor protection situations, map good practices, and design training programs while mainstreaming inclusion into humanitarian mechanisms and identifying program gaps.
The ideal candidate should possess humanitarian field experience, strong understanding of intersectional analysis, strong working knowledge of the humanitarian coordination system and humanitarian architecture and experience working with partners and other international stakeholders (UN, INGOs), protection and inclusion background including experience in inclusion of at-risk groups ideally in humanitarian context- and older people, and persons with disabilities, fluency in Arabic and English, and capacity strengthening in fast-paced environments.
