Older people s inclusion in the Typhoon Haiyan response

This report brings together data collected from an informal survey conducted in Haiyan-affected communities by HelpAge International and the Coalition of Services of the Elderly (COSE). In the survey, older people reported the extent to which the emergency response reached them and their needs and priorities.

The rights of older people in Peru

This summary showcases the key findings of a survey HelpAge carried out in 2012 with 104 women and men over the age of 50 in Peru. The findings provide evidence of gaps in the protection of older people’s human rights and reinforce the need for national and international action, mechanisms and processes to ensure that the human rights of older people are better addressed.
