#OlderNotOver: Join the movement

Ready to change how the world sees and treats older people?

The world is changing, and we are living longer than ever. By 2030, one in six will be 60 or older, and in places like Japan and Italy, it will be one in three.

The #OlderNotOver campaign challenges stereotypes about life after 60, promoting a fuller, more authentic view of older people.

By highlighting their diverse experiences and contributions, #OlderNotOver fosters respect and empathy. We celebrate the richness of older age, showing that being older is not being over.

“The longer we live, the more different from each other we become. HelpAge’s #OlderNotOver campaign shows this is so, and I’m delighted to be part of it.” — Ashton Applewhite, author, ageism activist and one of the UN’s Healthy Ageing 50: fifty leaders transforming the world to be a better place in which to grow older.

#OlderNotOver is a contribution to the UN Decade of Healthy Ageing (2021–2030) – a global collaboration to improve the lives of older people, their families, and their communities.
