Process towards a new convention steps up a gear

From 30 July to 1 August, representatives of just over 100 governments met at the UN in New York to discuss older people’s rights and the possibility of a new international human rights instrument, a convention, to protect them.

Gaza crisis: Preparing to respond to older people’s needs

Gaza: Concerns for older people as crisis continues

HelpAge International is very concerned for the safety of the 66,000 people in the Gaza strip aged 60 and over. According to our staff on the ground, the streets of Gaza are empty and almost all shops are closed. Electricity and water supplies are limited.
