We hope the clear, clean design appeals to you, that it’s easy for you to find what you’re looking for, and that you are as excited as we are about all the new features it boasts.
Our new Get involved section makes it easy for you to show your support for older people across the world. Why not find out what’s happening for this year’s Age Demands Action campaign, as older people in nearly 50 countries gear up for a day of action on 1 October (UN International Day of Older People)? They’ll be calling for action on issues such as pensions, healthcare, housing and work.
Want to know more about why older people are making these demands? Watch our mosaic of film clips of older people from around the world talking about their experiences of age discrimination. We’re sure they’ll move you to show your support by signing our Age Demands Action petition.

One of the big issues affecting older people in poorer countries is income security. More often than not, they do not get any pension and many have to work well into old age just to survive. They work day-in, day-out, working long hours in poorly paid jobs with little or no recognition or support. At HelpAge, we believe that the contribution older people make to society is invaluable. Read our life stories for proof of our philosophy that “age helps”. They capture older people’s strength, wisdom and reslience and show that when you give to older people they give back.
