HelpAge launches new campaign to celebrate European day of Solidarity between Generations
This year is the European Year for Active Ageing and Solidarity between Generations (EY2012). To further promote intergenerational solidarity, 29 April is the European day of Solidarity between Generations.
To celebrate the day, HelpAge has launched a new campaign to raise awareness among young people of what it means to be older in Europe and the developing world.

Make it Ageless campaign launched today: Young Europeans grow up fast campaigning for older people’s rights
A new campaign launched today by HelpAge International is raising awareness amongst young people of what it means to be older. The Make it Ageless campaign will raise awareness of the rights and welfare of older people including those living in poorer countries, such as Kenya.

On Saturday 1 December the World’s HIV community will come together to mark World AIDS Day. This year we are focussed on ‘Getting to Zero’ in an effort to achieve a generation where no one dies of AIDS, no one newly acquires HIV, and the rights of all people living with or affected by HIV are upheld. While we, as a care and support community, fully endorse these three goals, we remain concerned about the limited attention being given to the care and support needs of those living with and affected by HIV and the lack of recognition of the crucial role of caregivers in the HIV response.
